The cemetery, now maintained by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission, includes a special memorial for a naval officer whose grave remains unlocated. This commission's efforts ensure that the dignity and sanctity of the site are upheld.

The Kandy War Cemetery is wheelchair accessible, with daily visiting hours from 7 AM to 4 PM. Its serene environment offers a space for reflection and remembrance.
