チャリオットパス – ランボダ

チャリオット・パスは、ラーヴァナがシータ・デヴィをチャリオットに乗せてシータ・コトゥワからアショーカ・ヴァティカまで運んだ道で、別名「ラーヴァナの野道」としても知られています。キャンディとヌワラ・エリヤを結ぶ幹線道路沿い、ランボダ丘陵の頂上にある森の中にあります。ここはスリランカにおけるラーマーヤナの象徴的な場所の一つです。今日に至るまで、草も生えていないこの不毛の地には、いかなる植物も生い茂っていません。ラーマーヤナ叙事詩に記されているように、ラーヴァナ王は丘の頂上にあるこの道を使ってシータ・デヴィに王国の魅力を見せつけたと考えられています。そのため、チャリオット・パスとシータの涙の池は、スリランカにおける重要なラーマーヤナ遺跡です。.

However, many large trees with gorgeous red blooms in this field adding a bright colour to the landscape. These flowers are being called by the title of Sita flowers by the local villagers. The peculiarity of these flowers is the shape of the petal, stamen and pistil, which follow a human figure carrying a bow and represent Rama. It is also considered that These flowers are novel only to this region in the entirety of Sri Lanka.
