Urawatte Sea Turtle Hatchery is located in the city of Ambalangoda, Sri Lanka. This is where turtles' eggs are preserved and well looked after until they are hatched. Then they are released back to the sea where they belong. The caregivers in this place take high care of the eggs and the baby turtles.
In Urawatte Sea Turtle Hatchery, you will see a scarce animal species, the turtle. You will witness turtles of different types, breeds, colours, and sizes. This place also has eggs of turtles that are also showcased; you will also be able to release a turtle that is grown to its age back to the sea.
