Tangalle, also called Tangalla, is more than just a town. It’s a busy centre in Sri Lanka’s Southern Province’s Hambantota District. Tangalle is known for having a significant impact on the southern province. An urban council runs it, with a mild temperature, sandy beaches, and much history and culture. It is 195 km south of Colombo and 35 km east of Matara. Its calm beaches and friendly, open environment make it the perfect tropical paradise.

The old Dutch fort, which is now a jail, along with the Rest House and Court House, are important historical sites in the town.
