Sri Bhakta Hanuman Temple

Sri Bhakta Hanuman Kovil Temple is one of Sri Lanka’s significant Hanuman shrines, perched on a scenic hill in Ramboda
(about 30 km north of Nuwara Eliya). Built by the Chinmaya Mission (1999), it honours Lord Hanuman and is
a key stop on the Ramayana Tour. Visitors can see Sri Lanka’s tallest
18-foot Hanuman statue and learn the site’s connection to Hanuman’s search for Sita Devi.

The Chinmaya Mission—founded in 1953 by devotees of H.H. Swami Chinmayananda—runs spiritual, educational, and charitable
initiatives worldwide. The Ramboda temple is part of its Sri Lankan outreach.
