The New ‘ Rajarata odyssey’ train would encourage many pilgrims and global travellers to Anuradhapura during weekends.

The train will leave Anuradhapura to Colombo at 5 pm on Sundays to reach Colombo Fort at 9.00 pm. The train stops only at Gampaha, Weyangoda and Polgahawela railway stations. The new luxury train includes 480 seats, ten air-conditioned carriages, and two second-class compartments. The ticket price is Rs. 2,400 for the first-class expedition.
