Day 1: Adventure White Water Rafting Competition 22/12 /2023
Prepare for the adrenaline rush as teams navigate the thrilling white waters on Day 1, starting at 9 am. Each rafting team, comprising 1 females, 3 males, and a qualified rafting instructor, will compete for the coveted title. To ensure fair competition, teams must adhere to the specified composition requirements, fostering teamwork and inclusivity. The action starts at 9 am, setting the stage for a day of heart-pounding rafting adventures.
Day 2: Adventure Canyoning Race 23/12 /2023
Day 2 brings the Canyoning Race at Kataram Oya River. Teams of 1 female and 1 male will navigate challenging terrains in this thrilling race. Teams must carefully select their members to conquer the canyoning course successfully, combining strength and strategy. The event commences at 9 am, promising a day filled with canyoning excitement.
Day 3: White Water Kayaking Race & Swimming Competition 24/ 12 /2023
Day 3 unfolds with the White Water Kayaking Race, followed by a Swimming Competition exclusively for Kitulgala locals aged over 45. The kayaking race begins at 9 am, setting the water ablaze with fierce competition. Witness the prowess of local swimmers as they compete in the Liyan Oya River—a spectacle to be noticed, starting at 9 am. Participation in the swimming competition is open to Kitulgala locals over 45, showcasing the community spirit.
Day 4: Kithulgala Adventure Sit Top Race 25/12/2023
The Adventure Sit Top Race on Day 4 embarks from Kambi Bridge to Kitulaga Guest House, challenging teams in a thrilling race. Teams of two must navigate the designated route, bringing a culmination to the adventure-filled festival. The race flags off at 9 am, promising a riveting conclusion to the festival.
Hungry Blast Nightfall Festival
As night falls, the Hungry Blast Festival at Yatiyantota Vincent Perera Playground takes centre stage. From 4.00 pm to 1.00 am, the festival boasts food stalls, Holly Color festival, a zipline, wall climbing, rifle shooting, DJ music, stunt shows, traditional folk songs, cultural displays, live bands play from 9.00 pm and a dedicated kids’ play area.
The festival runs each day from December 22 to 25, allowing families and thrill-seekers to indulge in the festivities.
Yatiyantota Vincent Perera Playground transforms into a hub of excitement and entertainment, creating lasting memories for attendees.
